How to Choose your Ombre Color
The French-termed hair trend features darker, more natural hues at the roots with gradually-dyed lightening at the ends. It’s been spotted on plenty of A-list celebs: Jessica Biel, Victoria Justice, Drew Barrymore and Raven Simone.
It is believed among our professional community that Ombre really became more popular first when Drew Barrymore rocked the “Extreme Ombre” followed by pop princess Nicki Minaj began rocking colored wigs with radical transitions of lime green to blonde, purple to pink, and even royal blue faded to a touch of blonde on the ends.
Maintenance
Besides being fashion forward, the upside of this color is maintenance. With the transition of your natural root, to a lighter shade, clients are able to push out their color refreshers to from 5 to 7 weeks for more vibrant colors, 6 - 8 weeks for blondes. Naturally, this is provided they are using an excellent home care regime to maintain the color and tone.
Shade Selection
A person can choose one (1) to three (3) colors to shade for our“Ombre” effect. In the warmer months, we tend to select from a lighter more vibrate pallette, and in winter cooler, more ash tones are tend to match our fashion.
Deep Skin Tone
We recommend: deep reds, coppers, and cool ash browns make for beautiful choices.
We recommend rich browns, coppers, possibly even v violet browns or violet.
We recommend ash tones, subdued blondes, golden caramel tones will add warmth to olive skin.
Making A Reservation
If there has been a previous color, you WILL NOT be able to achieve the “Ombre” effect successfully without some color correction. Consult your Alchemist to a realistic evaluation of service price and procedure.
Though it may look as if this now infamous look can be achieved at home, it is necessary to visit a professional establishment for the best results.
