Our History
“On the Avenue” in Downtown Willow Glen - San Jose, California since 1997, we celebrate our 14th anniversary this July. We are very proud of our recent popular vote "2011 Best Hair Salon in San Jose" by Metro Newspapers. We add this to our recent wins of 2010, 2009 and 2008 Best Hair Salon. Additionally, we were selected for the 2010 "Choice Award" from Second Harvest Food Bank, a special acknowledgment or dedication throughout the years.
Hair Stylists and Salon Services
Our Hair Stylists are have specific specialties, so me may offer high end salon services to all of our guests. We have dedicated Designers for thinning hair, hair loss, curly hair, short hair, long hair and mens hair cuts. Our advanced hair specialities include, hair color correction, hair straightening, brazilian blowout, keratin treatments, thermal straightening, hair extensions and removing black hair dye.
Our Nail Spa Team and Services
Our Nail Spa was recently awarded the Peoples Choice award, Willow Glen - Mercury Newspaper.
We offer specialty aroma-therapeutic natural nail manicures, pedicures including long lasting
Shellac Gel Nail Polish. In additional to our crystal and acrylic nail services, our team brought
long lasting 3-dimentional glitter Rockstar Toes to Northern California.
Hair Products
Alchemy is proud use and extend the beauty support of Oribe’, Kerastase, Prive’,
Pureology,and Label M. Our skin home care is the exclusive line by Jan Marini,
and our body, hands and feet systems are exclusively formulated by Four Jewels.
Amenities
Guests enjoy french roast coffee, a selection of herbal teas and FREE WiFi.
Indulge in our “beauty” library, get a complimentary make-up touch-up and enjoy our flat screens showcasing “Alchemy TV”, recent photo shoot film vignettes and VIP service specials.

Teen Clean Skin Care
Teen Clean is the acne solution for adolescent skin concerns. It consists of three steps containing three remarkably effective products formulated to achieve and maintain beautifully clear, acne-free skin and to provide environmental protection.
Daily Care Instructions
Step 1: Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% Wash (AM and PM)
Gently massage a quarter-size amount over skin and work into a lather. Remove with a clean, wet and wrung-out washcloth. Splash face 10 to 15 times with lukewarm water. Blot dry.
Step 2: Benzoyl Peroxide 5% or 10% (PM only)
Apply a small amount to the entire area or areas where breakouts tend to occur. May be increased
to AM and PM if breakouts have not resolved.
Step 3: Antioxidant Daily Face Protectant SPF 30 (AM)
Apply generously to entire face, ears and neck. Apply every day, rain or shine. *Benzoyl Peroxide may be increased to 10% if further clearing is necessary.
