Every time I try, my curling iron only makes my hair look like it has split ends. I hold on to it for like 15 seconds. What am I doing wrong?

You may want to consider getting the newer "wand" type curling irons. Rather than clamping the iron on your already fragile, tattered ends, you swirl it around like a candy-cane. This evenly distributes the heat and the curl.

If you hair is very resistant to curl, you may want to spray your hair lightly with a light "working" hairspray. We like "Strength and Control" by Pureology or Superfine Hairspray by Oribe.

Light Spray, let dry, then apply heat wand. Re recommend AGAINST sizzling the wet hairspray to the hair... for obvious reasons.
