I have shoulder-length ombre hair, but would like to add extensions to add volume and a bit of length to my hair. Because my hair is ombre I would obviously have to dye the extensions that way too, so my question is should i buy blonde extensions and dye the tops darker or brown extensions and bleach the bottoms lighter?

Typically, extension hair (even the best russian or italian hair) have been very processed to achieve color, and conditioned to fill hair and control texture.  For this reason, we would recommend against buying darker extensions and bleaching them up.  For perfect results, our extension experts would:
•  Select top grade hair, (as you can reuse the hair if secured by Hairlocs);
•  Identify the ideal hair placement;
•  Ombre tint the hair in a pattern that would match the hair placement.

Tinting (dying) hair darker to add tone is a more gentle approach, and will save the integrity of the hair, so you may reuse it.

Considering hair extensions or an Ombre hair color?  Reserve you complimentary consultation with our Alchemy experts.
