The Concept

Alchemy Hair Studio first opened in 1997 in Downtown Willow Glen, San Jose, CA. In our 2006 expansion Alchemy triples in size and added a boutique! We are excited to announce our newest location Alchemy II Hair Studio! Our latest addition is scheduled for our grand opening in August 2007!

Our decor maintains a warm spa feeling with an Asian influence. Our most common comment/compliment when folks arrive is "I feel so comfortable here and calming". The ambiance imparts a comfortable creative feel for both Clients and Designers.  Each Designer is dedicated to their select clientele.

Our design team of fifteen (15) stylists (and growing) enthusiastic and accomplished in their art of hair design. Our dedication to continued education and our client relationships is evident in every Alchemy experience.  We offer the latest in color and hairstyling to men and woman throughout the Bay Area and beyond.  Their combined advanced education includes CHI, HairLocs, Rusk, Aveda, Framesi, Pureology, Bumble & Bumble, UNITE and Prive'.

Alchemy Designers maintains a senior education as hair colourists and design.  Additionally, each Designer is accomplished in an industry specialty. Our collective including; Bridal/Special Occasion Updo styling, Runway & Fashion Printwork; Hairlocs Hair Extension; Thermal Straightening; Permanent Curl Restructuring and Makeup application for Print & Film.
